Kew Heritage Building

Southern Cross Civil was the primary contractor for structural strengthening and environmental remediation of a former mechanics building being redeveloped into apartments. As a heritage-listed site, the full external wall extent required protection throughout the works.

Scope

• Approx. 50 lineal metres of underpinning
• Removal of 7 buried fuel and oil tanks
• Excavations up to 3 m deep
• On-site farming of Category B contaminated soil
• External heritage wall retention and protection
